Halloween Sarg - Brownies

Kurz vor Halloween möchte ich auch noch etwas Passendes posten. Darum möchte ich euch heute diese süßen Sarg-Brownies zeigen, die ich letztes Jahr für eine Halloween Party gemacht habe. Das Rezept findet ihr wie immer auf meinem Kochblog und zwar HIER.

Such a short time before Halloween, I'd like to post something suitable, too. Thus I'd like to show this sweet coffin-brownies, I made for a Halloween-party last year. You can find the recipe at my cooking-blog as always, namely HERE.

Herbst- und Halloween - Dekoration - Teil 3

Leider hatte ich die letzte Woche absolut keine Zeit und das wird sich in ähnlicher Form auch bis Anfang November fortführen. Darum gibt es auch leider kein tolles Horrorzirkus-Halloween-Kostüm und nicht so viele Beiträge hier, wie ich geplant hatte. Das Kostüm werde ich irgendwann aber dennoch basteln, alleine schon, weil ich bereist alle Materialien gekauft habe.

Sadly, I had absolutely no time the last week and this will go on nearly the same way until the beginning of November. So unfortunately, there will be no great horror-circus-Halloween-costume and not so many posts as I planned. Nevertheless, some day I will make the costume, yet because I bought all materials for it.

Herbst- und Halloween Dekoration - Teil 2

Zwei weitere Stücke meiner Herbst- und Halloween-Dekoration. Diesmal habe ich meinen weißen Baum mit Herbstblättern beklebt und für die zweite Komposition eine Jack Skellington Figur und ein Kerzenglas benutzt.

Two more pieces of my autumn- and Halloween-decoration. This time I glueed some autumn leaves on my white tree and for the second combination I used a Jack Skellington figure and a glass for a candle.

Kürbis Special auf meinem Kochblog

Passend zum Oktober mache ich auf meinem Kochblog nun ein Kürbis-Special. Ich werde also in nächster Zeit dort all meine Kürbis-Rezepte posten, von deftigen über süße Speisen bis hin zu Likör. Es lohnt sich also, in nächster Zeit mal dort vorbeizuschauen, wenn man Kürbisse auch so sehr liebt, wie ich. Meinen Kochblog findet ihr HIER.

Herbst- und Halloween Dekoration - Teil 1

Hier sind schonmal zwei Stücke meiner Herbst- und Halloween-Deko zu sehen. Endlich konnte ich die pinken Tentakel mal für etwas verwenden.

Here are two pieces of my autumn- and Halloween-decoration. Finally, I was able to use the pink tentacles for something.

WIP: Halloween-Kostüm Horror-Zirkus

Dieses Halloween bin ich auf einer Party mit dem Motto Horror-Zirkus eingeladen. Ich freue mich schon riesig darauf, denn ich liebe diese Thematik schon lange. Zuerst wollte ich als viktorianischer Freak mit einem zweiten Kopf und zwei weiteren Händen im Bauch gehen, doch das hat sich als zu umfangreich und teuer herausgestellt. Also habe ich mich erstmal ein bisschen in das Thema vertieft und einige Skizzen angefertigt.

This Halloween, I'm invited to a party with the motto horror-circus. I'm looking forward to it with much joy, because I already love this subject matter since a long time. First I wanted to go as a victorian freak with a second head and two further hands at the belly, but it shaped up as too large and too expensive. So as a start, I immersed myself in the subject matter and drawed some outlines.

Schließlich habe ich mich dann für diesen Entwurf entschieden:

Es soll eine etwas androgyne Artistin sein, die eine Flugshow machen möchte. Ihre Haare sind zu drei großen Spikes aufgestellt, sie trägt eine Maske und ihre Flügel bestehen aus zusammengenähten Hautfetzen. Am Leib trägt sie einen hautfarbenen Body mit Spitze oder aus Netz und an den Beinen ebenfalls hautfarbene Strapsen, die in die Haut eingenäht sind. Überall an ihrem Leib finden sich Insekten.

It is to be a androgynous artist, who'd like to make a flight-show. Her hair is arranged to three spikes, she wears a mask and her wings consist of shredded skin. She is wearing a skincoloured body with lace or out of mesh and also skincoloured straps, which are sewed in her skin. Everywhere on her body you can find insects.

Jetzt heißt es nur noch warten, bis alle nötigen Materialien ankommen, dann kann es losgehen. Hier werde ich darüber berichten, wie ich das Kostüm mache. Ich hoffe, alles wird so funktionieren, wie ich es mir vorstelle. Hier ist schonmal die Maske, die ich verwenden werde.

Now I just have to wait until all of the needed materials arrive, then I can start. Here I will write about how I create this costume. I hope, everything works like I imagine. Here you can already see the mask I'm going to use.

Herbst- und Halloween Dekoration

Nun ist der Oktober schon 10 Tage alt - höchste Zeit, euch ein bisschen von meiner Herbst- und Halloween Dekoration zu zeigen. Diesmal habe ich von jedem einzelnen Stück ein paar Fotos gemacht, aber ich hatte noch keine Zeit, alle zu bearbeiten, darum werde ich sie hier nacheinander einstellen, je nachdem, wie ich dazu komme. Hier erstmal ein paar Preview-Bilder :)

Now October is already 10 days old - so it's high time to show something of my autumn- and Halloween decoration. This time I made a few photos of every single piece of it, but I haven't found the time to edit them all, so I will upload them one after another, depending on how I can spend time on it. Marzipan-Silhouetten-Kuchen

Mein Vater hatte ein sehr süßes Erlebnis in London - ein Eichhörnchen hat sich, als er in einem Liegestuhl im Hyde Park saß, auf sein Knie gesetzt und ihn ein Weilchen angeguckt. Leider hatte er nichts zum Füttern dabei. So etwas mag in London vielleicht nichts Besonderes sein, aber hier in Deutschland kenne ich keine so zahmen Eichhörnchen.

My dad had a very sweet experience in London - a squirrel has sat itself on his knee while he was sitting in a canvas chair at Hyde Park and looked at him for a while. Sadly, he had nothing for feeding. Such a thing might be nothing special in London, but here in Germany I don't know such gentle squirrels.

Jedenfalls habe ich meinem Vater dann zum Geburtstag einen Kuchen backen wollen, der ihn an dieses nette Ereignis erinnert, und da kam mir die Idee zu einer Silhouette aus Marzipan im Stil eines Scherenschnitts. Ich malte also das Motiv, übertrug alles aufs Marzipan, schnitt das Motiv aus und übertrug es auf den Kuchen. Zum Glück hat alles funktioniert! 

Anyway, I wanted to bake a cake for my dad's birthday which could remind him of this nice incidence and so the idea of a silhouette of almond paste / marzipan came into my mind. So I drawed the motive, transfered it on the marzipan, cut the motive out of it and carried it on the cake. Fortunately it worked!

Eine genaue Anleitung könnt ihr HIER auf meinem Kochblog finden. Man kann wirklich jedes beliebige Motiv nehmen, ob selbstgemacht oder aus dem Internet, nur zu filigran darf es nicht sein. Einen viktorianischen Scherenschnitt stelle ich mir zum Beispiel auch sehr schön vor. Ich wünsche jedem viel Spaß, der es ausprobieren möchte :)

You can find a detailed tutorial HERE at my cooking-blog. You can really use every motive you like to, wether selfmade or from the internet, the only thing is, it shouldn't be too filigree. For example, I imagine a victorian scissor-type silhouette as very beautiful. I wish everybody who wants to try it much fun :)

Dark and gold Westminster

Wieder ein paar Bilder von London. Wir sahen Westminster das erste mal in der Abendsonne, was für eine wunderschöne Beleuchtung sorgte. Doch auch in schwarz-weiß gaben die Bilder viel her. Darum möchte ich euch einfach von beiden Eindrücken etwas zeigen.

Some pictures from London again. The first time, we saw Westminster in the light of the setting sun, which brought a great illumination. But also in black and white the pictures looked very good. Thus I'd like to show simply both impressions to you.
